Risk Marketplace (RMP) is transforming how risk and control partners identify and manage risks in programs and projects. The role of the RMP operating model is to enable delivery excellence and early value realization while keeping the Bank safe. Specifically, it is a centralized marketplace to obtain risk and control guidance to support project delivery.
The Risk Marketplace Implementation/Coach Liaison plays a pivotal role in the success of Risk Marketplaces by providing guidance to delivery teams and risk and control partners in the execution of their accountabilities. The Implementation/Coach Liaison will clearly contribute to the success of initiatives by driving adoption of the Risk Marketplace, ensuring alignment with process, and removing roadblocks and challenges
The Implementation/Coach Liaison will report to the RMP Implementation Lead (Senior Manager) within Operational Risk Management). Key Responsibilities:
Provide direction to complex, wide-ranging issues associated with the execution of RMP activities, and ensures roadblocks and challenges are addressed in a timely manner
Facilitate and lead discussions with RMP participants to understand successes and opportunities, translating them into actionable tasks that promote future improvements in the RMP
Execute on change strategies from Change Liaison
Adapt the RMP model to fit the business environment while achieving target RMP outcomes
Escalate issues related to the execution of the RMP model, ensuring appropriate individuals or teams are notified and accountable for resolving
Ensure the applicable RMP documents/ processes are up to date, including target operating models, playbooks and talent approaches
Act as SME for the RMP by providing awareness, identifying issues and anticipating trends (e.g., adoption, interactions, behaviours)
Provide support and guidance on delivery practices across multiple Risk Marketplaces
Ensures alignment of RMP to the delivery strategies (ex. Change management, requirements, testing).
Identify and recommend opportunities to enhance productivity, effectiveness and operational efficiency
Plan and lead a diverse set of work activities requiring alignment across multiple areas (e.g. ORM, EPDE)
Facilitate and lead discussions with RMP participants to understand successes and opportunities, translating them into actionable tasks that promote future improvements in RMP
Solid knowledge of project delivery methodologies
Solid knowledge of risk assessment process and methods
General knowledge of business risk and regulatory compliance requirements
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to navigate in a space that is not well defined, ambiguous and complex at times
Proven interpersonal and relationship management skills
Detail-oriented with the ability to follow up on items or determine appropriate steps for timely resolution
Demonstrated leadership and influencing skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to deal with conflicting points of view and to effect creative and responsive solutions
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple deadlines and priorities
Comfortable challenging the status-quo and open to new ideas and business models
Qualifications / Skills / Experience:
Completion of post-secondary education
Experience with Project Delivery (including TD Agile) considered an asset
Experience with business risk and regulatory compliance considered an asset
Knowledge of Microsoft Office
Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines
Demonstrated conflict resolution and judgment skills
A dynamic leader with strong planning, flexibility and adaptability skills to handle teams with functional diversity, complexity and multiple points of contact
Good communicator with a positive approach that can liaise with teams, colleagues and partners, to achieve long term goals
Robust organizational and analytical skills with the ability to work in a demanding environment and handle multiple deadlines and priorities
