The Role Responsibilities
Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and Business Continuity Plans (BCP) Compliance - coordinate with Country Business Resilience Managers (full & part time) and Department Continuity Coordinators (DCCs) -
To complete the updates and approvals for existing documentation at least annually or when there are significant changes to the business.
For new BIAs and BCPs, ensure that these documents are completed within the group BCM stipulated time frame.
Business Resilience Testing Coordination and Compliance - coordinate with Country Technology Management Teams, Country Business Resilience Managers and DCCs -
To maintain overall global/country specific business resilience test calendars, ensure that all aspect of the testing are delivered as scheduled and changes in test dates are properly socialized and communicated to the respective unit head.
To assist with all activities related to test preparation, coordination, documentation, meeting minutes, post testing reports etc.
To assist with tracking test participation & attendance, status of test script population and approvals, test scripts archive as evidence etc.
To maintain test issue logs and track the open issues until they are fully resolved, identify thematic risks to the Unit head.
Business Recovery Sites Maintenance - Coordinate with Country Business Resilience Managers to ensure all business recovery spaces (internal and external) are being properly documented.
MIS Reports Production - Generate monthly resilience compliance statistics and assist with the production of the Senior Management Report (SMR).
Third Party Risk Management Program - Assist with the review and assessment of third party vendors resilience capabilities and the development of adequate critical third party contingency planning. Maintain data base of high risk vendors and resilience capabilities as required.
Country BCM List & Global BCM Community List Maintenance - Assist the Country Business Resilience Managers and Regional Heads of Business Resilience with the reviews and updates of the lists on the Business Resilience Bridge Page on a monthly basis to ensure they stay current.
Crisis Management Deliverables and Activities - coordinate with Country Crisis Management Group (CrMG) coordinators -
Liaise with Unit Head to ensure that potential business resilience threats are monitored and the appropriate contingency planning is conducted in line with risk appetite and to Group standards.
To manage, coordinate, update and obtain management approvals for Crisis Management plans and related databases.
During CrMG invocation, provide real time support to Country Business Resilience Managers and Regional Heads of Business Resilience by maintaining chronology of events, assist with tracking of follow-up action items and drafting of communication to key stakeholders.
Post CrMG invocation, assist with post incident reviews which will be led by Country Business Resilience Managers and Regional Heads of Business Resilience to consolidate lessons learnt to further enhance resilience capabilities.
Support Country Business Resilience Managers to ensure the business resilience and crisis management program complies and aligns to internal Group policy, procedures, guidelines and controls as well as external regulatory requirements.
Regulatory Compliance -
Coordinate with Country Compliance and Country Business Resilience Managers to update and maintain the Global BCM country regulatory compliance tracker.
Ensure Regional Resilience Heads are notified of changes to business resilience regulatory requirement and these are promptly captured and gap analysis is being conducted to identify shortfalls and mitigation measures.
Risk Management - Support operational risks associated activities for business resilience through regular assurance monitoring and reporting of EORP/CST issues.
Audit Support (internal and external) -
Serve as first point of contact for audit RFIs (request for information).
In conjunction with the Country Business Resilience Managers and Regional Heads of Business Resilience, review the RFIs to ensure that they are appropriate and within scope of the audit.
Track status of response to the RFIs, assist with the consolidation of responses and evidences as required.
Post audit, provide support to centrally track findings, action plans and completion status.
Provide centralised administrative and helpdesk support to global business resilience key initiatives including (and not limited to) the roll-out of Metricstream and Everbridge.
Assist with the pre-migration activities as instructed by the Metricstream project team.
During migration, assist with the migration of the BIA and BCP into Metricstream as per compliance schedule.
In addition, perform helpdesk support role during and post migration.
Assist with the implementation of EverBridge in countries as required.
Perform helpdesk support role during and post implementation.
Assist the Country Business Resilience Managers post notification test to follow up with the "no response" staff.
Our Ideal Candidate
An understanding of Banking Operations and the Regulatory requirements governing Banking Operations.
An understanding of the technological infrastructure and applications used in the Bank.
An aptitude to acquire professional knowledge and educational accreditation in Business Continuity Planning.
Strong interpersonal skills.
Strong communication skills
Good project management skills.
Ability to analyse complex issues and translate these into clear and concise reports to facilitate decisions required from Senior Management.
Ability to work independently under tight deadlines and with a high degree of initiative.
Preferably a person of professional standing with experience of both the technical and managerial aspects of Business Continuity, IT Disaster Recovery and Crisis Management planning.
