Your impact and contribution: . The purpose of the Team Manager, Small Business Operations and Credit Support is to provide support and management to a team of credit and operations professions within Small Business who assist with the end of end processing and review of credit applications completed by the Small Business Banking central and distributed workforce. You will be a ccountable for the effective management of all credit and support workflow of BizExpress applications via our Small Business Specialist network, as well as post approval activities for credit applications completed by the Business Banker team, Small Business. You are also responsible for the execution of the BizExpress Accreditation framework for Small Business Specialists, including oversight of the Accelerated Accreditation Program to ensure that Small Business Specialists are accredited in line with the standards outlined in the framework.
Effectively manage workflow, ensuring timely review of Commercial Credit applications and other associated responsibilities to deliver to customer requirements
Provide overview of the SBS Accelerated Accreditation Program
Coach, mentor, and develop team members by: Providing timely & regular feedback and training (informally and formally); Holding team members accountable for business outcomes (KPI's), risk compliance and desired people capabilities; Driving and recognising team members for demonstrating excellence and Ensuring all direct reports have a formal Career and Development plan (in PeopleLink)
Drive a customer centric culture, by ensuring the team provides responsive, professional and high quality levels of service to internal stakeholders to deliver customer advocacy and outcomes
Drive effective team work and collaboration with stakeholders
Develop and lead a culture of genuine risk ownership
Ensure team is proficient with use of Groups leading suite of technology solutions
Ensures team acts in a safe manner and implements all of the Group's mandatory OHS requirements
Your skills and experience:
Exposure to commercial credit and commercial lending sales (3-5 years)
Sound knowledge of financial services industry and strong business acumen
Demonstrated track record of managing credit assurance and risk
Demonstrated ability to apply commercial and financial acumen required to maximise efficiency, quality and revenue outcomes of the commercial credit application process
Strong communicator, able to work collaboratively with business partners and stakeholders
Ability to think creatively and problem solve
Demonstrated commitment to delivering exceptional customer service
FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation
Industry related tertiary qualifications desired (e.g. Commerce degree etc.)
CAA Level 2+
Previous experience in leadership role
