As a Financial Planner, your role will be to provide Commonwealth Financial Planning customers with Quality Advice, supporting them in identifying and meeting their financial goals and seeking to build and maintain long-term relationships with them.
See yourself in our team: You will be accountable for understanding your customers immediate and long term goals and level of comfort with risk and then providing advice that is truly tailored to these needs and quality focused. You will use tools and technology to provide quality and compliant advice / documentation and ensure risk obligations with regards to ASIC and business rules are met while generating business.
The role will require you to keep abreast of industry, legislative, business and technical Advice trends in order to provide Quality Advice in a professional manner that will further educate customers during the process of giving Advice. Through active and positive engagement with referral partners and other relevant stakeholders, you will have their support in identifying and generating new customer opportunities. You will be responsible for planning, prioritising and managing your own work load and tasks to be an effective Financial Planner and be open and approachable in collaborating with, and sharing ideas amongst your team members in order to encourage and support one another as a well-functioning team.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
Essential: Degree in Finance, Business, Commerce or arelated discipline from a a recognised Australian tertiary institution or international equivalent
Essential : Diploma of Financial Services, Financial Planning giving you RG146 Compliance in the following: (Generic Knowledge, Securities, Managed Investments, Life Insurance, Superannuation, Financial Planning and Skills)
At least 12 months experience in the financial planning business and / or 2+ years in a finance related field
Strong business acumen and awareness of factors currently affecting the financial services industry
Proven ability to engage with customers and maintain successful long term relationships
