Growing Real Estate investment manager seeks the talents of a recently qualified accountant for a newly created role.
This business has grown substantially in the past 12 months and this is a key hire to support them in 2020. This role is aimed at someone recently qualified in practice looking for the first move into investment management. This role is unique and would suit someone looks for a broad role that would cover elements of financial, management and fund accounting, and directly support their FC and CFO.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Primary contact for clients with daily contact and regular in-person client meetings.
Take ownership of portfolios
Compile and analyse financial information underlying the financial statements, including the treatment of business transactions.
Oversee preparation of management accounts
Preparation of consolidations.
Bank debt covenant reporting.
Responsible for team planning, developing junior staff members.
Cashflow forecasting and treasury work.
Plan year end audit including audit files and liaise with external auditors and clients.
Prepare statutory financial statements in accordance with IFRS or UK GAAP.
Given the nature of this role we are keen to hear for recently qualified accountants (ACA or equivalent) with experience in preparation of annual accounts. In addition a good knowledge of consolidations and group accounts. This is a fast-paced operating environment requiring someone who can think quickly on their feet and capable of taking on ad hoc project work when required. Note, you do not need to have audited or worked with investment funds whilst in practice, all the client requires is the desire to learn and asset class.
Salary on offer is £50,000 - £55,000 base plus benefits and a healthy discretionary bonus.
