A leading private equity firm based in London is looking for an Accounts Assistant to join their finance team on a 6 Months Interim basis. In this role you will be supporting the investment and management of portfolio businesses by maintaining a valuable source of current and historical financial information for the company and investors.
Main responsibilities include:
* Assist in checking and publishing the weekly, monthly and quarterly NAV * Weekly Liquidity and hedging reporting * Assist in preparation and review of monthly and quarterly reporting. Review of PCAPs * Manage audit queries * Fund Accounting / Operations * Cash Management * Ensuring payments are made on time and carrying out necessary reconciliations on payment logs and bank statements * Interest collection * Opening of new bank accounts * Opening of new SPVs * Fund cash forecasting * Assist in tax compliance matters * Maintaining relationships with 3rd party administrators and banks * Posting all invoice journals * Maintain payment documents, updating where necessary * Efficiently process multiple payments types * Assist with the production and review of management accounts including preparation and posting of journals, calculation of accruals and prepayments and perform balance sheet reconciliations * Various Ad hoc projects and queries - internal & external
The successful candidate will have:
- Relative experience working as an Accounts assistant and have knowledge of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or Management accounting. - Minimum 1-2 years+ working in the financial services sector. - Previous experience in management accounting and reporting - Accounts payable experience is desirable - Be part qualified in CIMA / ACCA / ACA or equivalent - Attention to details - Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
