Period: Full Time (5 days a week), 1 year renewable contract with initial 3 month trial (Paid)
Issuing daily trades and transaction reports.
Checking trade records and reconciling the front office trading activity.
Updating and maintaining product database
Pricing of products with banks
booking of trades
Act in a technical advisory capacity, between the Front Office Traders and outsourced service providers, when helping to resolve failed trades.
Reviewing monthly MI and attend Quarterly Service Reviews for Outsourcer appraisals.
Assist and take direction from the Senior sales team and Head of Products in any operations related tasks.
Manage team queries and ensure appropriate responses are provided to a high quality and in a timely manner.
Assist the Compliance department in any internal and external audit processes.
Defining business processes, procedures & control sheets.
Preparing marketing material, external presentations and product factsheets.
Ad Hoc duties as product base and business expands
General admin tasks:
communications with third party service providers
client onboarding processes
Work with and build on existing relationships with Custodians, outsource providers and third-party investment service providers
Providing reports on certain business activities.
Knowledge of structured products, fixed income and derivative products, interest rate & inflation swaps along with an understanding of the trade lifecycle (collateral, interest settlements, confirmations).
An appreciation of legal regulatory and industry requirements e.g. EMIR /ESMA/ FCA protocols.
Ability to learn. Develop the operational, technical knowledge and skills to perform the role successfully on an on-going basis within a dynamic work environment.
Demonstrates proficiency in written and oral communication skills.
Experience of following business processes, standards, policies and procedures.
Operational experience with at least 3 years' worth of relevant experience working in finance
Have a sound understanding of financial asset groups and general operational processes (e.g. Fund Accounting, Settlements and general processes performed by a Custodian).
At least 3 years' experience in front office trading / sales assistant
Additional experience with fixed income and other products preferred
Substantial prior interaction with the front office and senior management in an active trading environment
Bloomberg experience and order management systems
Demonstrated ability to work independently and to analyse problems, synthesize and implement solutions thereto
A strong background in MS Excel, Word and Powerpoint required
