Continuously enhance the quality of the Real Estate portfolio by following a proactive and forward-looking approach.
a) Work with TLs, CAMs and RMs to identify the weak credits within the existing Real Estate portfolio and define a clear strategy to deal with them i.e. exit, restructure etc. including risk mitigation
b) Access the quality of the existing portfolio and provide recommendations to improve the return on equity. Develop pricing strategy for Real Estate customers and help to improve price up for clients that are underperforming
c) Negotiate, structure & recommend preventive re-structuring solution in conformity with the Bank's underwriting standards and risk-adjusted targets after a thorough analysis of cash flows & necessary information required for preparation of a detailed credit proposal
d) Targets to exit identified weak relationships through an orderly repayment plan
e) Create and recommend strategies for approval for loan modifications, collateral substitutions, short term extensions, assumptions and restructuring
f) Define, implement and execute Risk Management Dashboard
g) Provide forward-looking insights into the Real Estate portfolio to ensure appropriate risk-adjusted return and portfolio diversification through superior asset allocation and selection. Prepare quarterly valuations on high-risk loans and annual forecast reports to maximize returns
h) Breakdown the portfolio into sub-sectors (residential, commercial etc.) to provide insights to Management
i) Provide peer analysis and analytics to track, monitor and inform senior management of benchmark performance
j) Conduct asset allocation and selection by understanding the market dynamics
k) Keep abreast of developments in the local business environment. Contribute to the planning process in order to develop business strategies
l) Ensure compliance with internal audit requirements in line with the policy guidelines, to ensure high standards of uniformity and consistency across the Bank
m) He/she will be responsible for analyzing Real Estate Trend / Analysis
Bachelor's degree in business, finance or a related field with a Master's degree preferred
10 –15 years of experience in Corporate/ Commercial Banking or/and 8 to 10 years of experience in reputed Real Estate Company
Ideally, the incumbent should have had exposure to one or more emerging markets.
Commercial acumen and ability to prepare plans and strategies are essential
The ability to forge close relationships with external constituents as a senior representative of the bank
Strong understanding of financial investments strategies and risk management techniques
