What you'll be doing
Helping define and deliver against plans set for independent model reviews
Managing and coaching a specialist quantitative team
Identifying, assessing and managing the risk reports and controls enabling the achievement of strategic objectives
Ensuring the area operates effectively in adherence to the internal policies of the bank and legislative/regulatory guidelines of relevant external authorities
Directing the team and continually improving risk management tools, techniques and strategies
Ensuring that the team continually delivers valuable technical modelling insights which can be used to refine risk management strategies
What we're looking for
Excellent quantitative ability and experience of models such as scorecards, regression, stochastic calculus and Monte Carlo pricing
In depth experience and practical skills in model risk management and knowledge of model risk and governance
Comprehensive knowledge of the risk/reward equation, including logistical, political and legal aspects
Thorough understanding of regulatory models such as IMR, IMA, IRB & EMIR
Degree level education in a quantitative field such as Ph.D. in Mathematics, Physics or similar numerate subject is advantageous

Please note this is a fixed term contract role for 12 months.
