Why Funding & Cash Management Operations? Funding & Cash Management Operations is part of Capital Market Operations and partners with the front office and other areas within TD Securities globally to mitigate risk for TD and our clients. We are a Global team that responsible for the cash management of TD Securities\u2019 external Trading bank accounts and for determining TD Securities Internal funding requirements and communicating these to the appropriate funding desks. In addition, this group manages confirmations, settlements and trade support process for TD Securities' Money Market trading activities. Funding & Cash Management Operations communicates daily with various internal and external business groups such as front office partners, offshore offices, and externally with Correspondent banks and various clients to meet our Service Level Agreement. The team is heavily involved in strategic initiatives, business development, and process improvements to drive efficiency, improve client service levels and reduce risk.

Specific Accountabilities and Responsibilities
Monitor service and control standards against, overall business / department objectives
Develop and maintain working relationships with internal partners for the purposes of delivering optimal customer service.
Ensure the effective operation and general administration of Nostro accounts with Correspondents by managing the day to day administration and control over the operation supported by the team
Ensure prompt investigation, follow up and resolution on failed trades to minimize any loss to the bank
Administer Correspondent interest and banking fees in the main trading accounts by minimizing the Bank\u2019s exposure through effective control of value given/received and by directing the team in the prompt follow up and negotiations pertaining to overdraft and credit interest
Minimize the bank\u2019s loss of potential revenue and payment of overdraft interest in the non-trading accounts, through effective control of the funding of the accounts, and by ensuring proper procedures are maintained
Ensure appropriate reporting and escalation of issues occurs based on risk profile.
Identify potential operating improvements, research and make necessary recommendations for changes
Work closely with the projects team and TDS business partners to continue to review all Funding & Cash Management functions, identify opportunities for process improvements and to streamline and enhance existing procedures
Monitor and ensure the team adhere to procedures and guidelines thereby meeting internal and external requirements
Provide guidance and direction on complex issues to internal and external stakeholders, management teams, and keep senior management informed of significant issues
Direct, train and develop staff to enable them to meet challenges, department objectives and achieve full potential
Work with Human Resources to recruit staff with the correct level of skills and competencies, adhering to the Bank\u2019s recruitment procedures and best practices.
Manage the performance of the team ensuring staff have clear pre-set objectives and get regular feedback on their performance. Ensure performance appraisals are conducted in line with Company policy and standards
Provide leadership, direction, advice and guidance to the team, thus maintaining high levels of integrity, motivation, morale, and encouraging teamwork and sharing of skills and knowledge.
Organize, coordinate and integrate relative activities of the team; by overseeing and developing ongoing training of all staff
Promote a fair and equitable environment that supports a diverse workforce and encourages the team to achieve common goals and objectives
