Role & Responsibilities We are looking to recruit a Data Sourcing Operations Specialist to join the Data Sourcing group within our Market Intelligence "MI" Research team. The Data Sourcing Operations Specialist role consists of supporting the daily responsibilities and operations of the data and research Sourcing group within MI Research.
As a Data Sourcing Operations Specialist your responsibilities will include:
Data and Research Provider Relationship Management
Facilitate requests to add, cancel or otherwise change services with providers
Ensure internal use of services are in compliance with the firm's contracts and obligations
Assist with collecting and maintaining robust overviews of content providers offerings
Stay current on providers content offerings
Internal Relationship Management
Assist with daily questions and requests from investment teams
Assist with new hire on-boarding (determine requirements; coordinate arranging access to content providers, etc.)
Coordinate new content provider on-boarding and contract/subscription renewal process
Assist with assessing content requirements to ensure proposed services meet our research and/or data needs
Negotiate business terms with data and research providers - pricing, access, etc
Coordinate contract reviews with legal department
Coordinate compliance due diligence review of content providers
Coordinate internal data and research expense approvals
Support teams effort in researching, identifying, evaluating and internally introducing new data and research sources
Bachelor's Degree with strong academic performance a must
2-4 years of experience - preferably with an investment management, consulting or data/research firm
Self-motivated, ambitious and confident
Exposure to contract and pricing negotiations a plus
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Proactive and dedicated work ethic
High attention to detail with high quality standards
Strong problem solving ability with ability to think creatively
Ability to multi-task and switch gears for frequently shifting priorities
Ability to work closely and effectively across multiple business units within the Firm; solid team player
