See yourself in our team The Chief Controls Office is responsible for developing the non-financial risk strategy and supporting Colonial First State (CFS) to proactively reduce risk exposure in the business in the context of our risk appetite.
The Risk & Control Governance, Planning & Reporting team is responsible for ensuring adequate oversight of Line 1 risk activities, framework activities, strategy execution and supporting the efforts to drive risk culture and maturity across CFS.
Do work that matters Reporting to the Senior Manager Data, you will be responsible for producing and driving insightful risk reporting and risk data analytics to support CFS. On any given day you will:
Provide senior leaders with advice and recommended courses of action on operational and compliance risk and control profiles, issues, incidents and other matters where applicable;
Prepare risk and controls reporting for attestations for the BU / SU by sourcing, collating and validating content;
Be accountable for the analysis, tracking and reporting on the Risk Appetite Statement (RAS);
Provide oversight for the assessment and management of the impact of regulatory change for IPP, SPP and strategy setting;
Develop operating guidance to drive consistency for the BU/SU and collating and providing commentary on key metrics for the Controls Office;
Partner with and advise Line 2 stakeholders on areas on non-compliance with policy, procedures and frameworks;
Data Extraction and Maintenance:
Designing, maintaining and enhancing architecture to support timely and relevant data analysis;
Designing, maintaining and enhancing data sources for use within Risk Reporting;
Implement data mining & related techniques to extract risk trends;
Support ongoing maintenance and availability for data for the business.
Dashboards and Visualisation
Develop and maintain dashboards and advanced visualisation outputs for the business;
Modernise reporting to move to a self-service & interactive delivery of risk reporting.
Support requirements for Advanced Analytics and Data Science projects;
Drive a data based assurance program across CFS
We're interested in hearing from people who possess:
Demonstrated experience in Analytics and Data Management;
Superannuation and investment business commercial aptitude and knowledge;
Ability to manage multiple and complex stakeholders;
Understanding of Operational Risk and Compliance is advantageous;
Tertiary qualifications in data science, finance, accounting, economics, science, technology, engineering, mathematics, or related subjects.
