APRA is seeking a Manager to lead our Stress Testing team within the Macro Strategic Insights area of the Cross-industry Insights & Data Division.
Macro Strategic Insights supports APRA's core functions through the provision of forward-looking analytics and insights, driving risk-based supervisory judgements and strategic decisions.
The Manager will lead a team delivering the program of work relating to APRA's stress testing activities across the ADI and insurance sectors. In this role you will work alongside key risk specialists in areas such as Credit, Market, Liquidity and Operational Risk as well as working in conjunction with other regulators in Australia and New Zealand.
You will be working within the broader Macro Strategic Insights team responsible for analysing, assessing and monitoring risks and key trends in the macroeconomic environment. This includes working closely with other agencies to form views on risks relevant to APRA's role.
The Manager role involves leading a high-performing team and is responsible for managing priorities and planning activities in order to meet the strategic objectives for the team. You will have a broad range of key stakeholders including a number of internal teams (particularly our risk and supervision teams) and external stakeholders including other agencies in Australia and abroad.
APRA's leaders play an integral role in shaping our culture, supporting our people and preparing APRA for the future. The successful candidate will therefore have demonstrated experience leading teams, in addition to experience in stress testing or financial modelling and a background in analytical areas such as finance, economics, actuarial studies or mathematics.
