The Role Responsibilities
To carry out daily functions of FMO product delivery, as defined in the department Operation Instructions while adhering to the agreed cut off times, controls and quality standards.
Manage stakeholder queries, advice stakeholders where required on FMO activities,
Foster team work and ensure Daily actives of FMO are carried out in times of contingencies.
Recommend improvements to procedure in order to improve processing efficiency and/or quality.
Network on behalf of the team (communicating back to team members) with stakeholders, to remove blockages, improve transaction flow, co-ordinate the implementation of change, and generally to facilitate the effective working of the team.
Assist in testing / upgrading and implementation of various FMO systems.
Responsible to meet turnaround times as per the Service Level agreement and productivity standards
Maintain proper archival procedure with adherence to Retention periods as per IRM policy
Ensure that proper procedures in followed and escalate any Risk items to HFMO .
Ensure DOI's are kept updated at all times.
Ensure processing, tracking, returns and MIS carried out as defined in DOI.
Active participation of FMO relief plan
Carry out any other duty related to Financial Market Operations assigned by HFMO.
Risk Management and Compliance
Ensure Product delivery team operate within the Group operational risk policy, procedures laid down in the DOI, and service standards established.
Effectively manage the operational risk across all FMO activities and products offered by the FM by using the established tools / process and escalating to HFMO for timely resolution of significant operational risks, issues and complaints.
Comply with the Group policies, Regulatory guidelines throughout Financial Market Operation's processing functions.
Identify the gaps if FMO Sri Lanka based on the Audit reports issued to Other countries/units and recommend process improvements/ Change requirements to HFMO.
Ensure operational risks for new products are understood and appropriate controls are in place before the products are introduced.
Ensure that FMO activities perform as per the CBSL/policy Guidelines
Money Laundering Prevention Responsibilities
Responsible for the Product delivery team awareness of the suspicious transactions reporting lines and procedure.
Ensure to understand and be conversant with Anti Money Laundering (AML) / Customer Due Diligence process.
To cooperate with the designated Country Money Laundering Prevention Officer (CMLPO), together with the Department Head to ensure appropriate internal controls and procedures for money laundering prevention are in place and functioning as intended.
Ensure to understands the Group policies and procedures
All Suspicious transactions to be reported according to the laid down procedure in DOI.
Process all transactions/verifications within the delegated authorities.
Monitoring of Key Control standards for Product delivery team.

Product knowledge in Financial Markets products
Knowledge of general banking operations, regulatory compliance, Operational risk and local banking practices.
Knowledge on documentation related to Financial Markets products.
Knowledge in Controls, policies and Regulations related to Financial Market Operations.
Leadership qualities with a good understanding SCB values.
Ability to train and manage and motivate team members.
Adopting the best practice to minimise the manual work in Product delivery
Understanding of the Operational risk relating to Financial Markets Products and procedures.
Good knowledge of sub systems of Financial Markets, other surrounding systems, Banks main accounting system, Payments & settlement systems such as SC Star, RTGS & SSSS, SWIFT message types and creation, setting up of new customers accounts
ACI Operations Certification.
