Legal Counsel, Cyber & Intelligence Solutions

Mastercard's Cyber and Intelligence Solutions team is part of Mastercard's global product and services group and provides strategic and cutting edge safety, security, identity and fraud solutions to Mastercard's customers and cardholders.
Mastercard is searching for a commercial and technology lawyer to help provide legal support and advice to the Cyber & Intelligence Solutions global product team. Reporting into Senior Counsel based in London for Mastercard's Cyber & Intelligence Solutions team, you will take a major role in handling commercial and product development and support matters for the business on a day-to-day basis and will: oProvide product development support to the Artificial Intelligence Center and provide solutions-oriented business counsel to the Brighterion product and development teams located in San Francisco, which teams develop artificial intelligence solutions globally. oProvide solutions-oriented business counsel to the NuData and Digital Devices product and development teams located in Vancouver CA, London, and Brussels, impacting EMV technology roll outs globally and developing behavioural biometric and consumer trust products globally. oProvide high quality advice to the business on a broad range of commercial and contractual matters, including product and marketing legal review, nondisclosure agreements, and pilot agreements. oNegotiate and draft complex technology services, alliance, partner, and license agreements with suppliers and financial institutions. oAct as product counsel and become an integral part of the business/product development team on a variety of solutions and services advising clients from the creation through development to the launch stage of the solution. oIdentify and advise on intellectual property and data privacy product risks, with support of Mastercard's intellectual property and data privacy counsel. oProvide legal and business risk assessment and analysis on matters from new product constructs to commercial agreements. oTake responsibility for special projects while continuing to handle a steady stream of day-to-day matters. oEnsure compliance with company policies and procedures. oAssist the resolution of customer issues as to Cyber & Intelligence Solutions products and services. oProvide applicable training to the regional Law & Franchise Integrity, sales and product teams.
All About You:
Exhibits a passion to work on and learn about artificial intelligence, behavioral biometrics and connected devices.
A qualified lawyer with a solid academic and training background.
Some time working in-house, preferably at a multinational company, and working in private practice, preferably within an established technology transactions practice group at a top-tier international law firm or a reputable boutique or mid-sized technology-focused law firm.
Experience in technology, security and/or payments agreements is a distinct advantage; specific experience in working on commercial agreements for AI technology products and solutions is prioritized and strongly desired.
Exposure to a broad range of commercial and technology law issues.
A lively interest in the business of Mastercard and cutting-edge technologies and an enjoyment of working in a fast-paced environment.
