The Operational Resilience Vendor Risk Management role will report into the Operational Resilience (OR) department and work closely with the Enterprise wide Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team to identify potential Operational Resilience and Physical Security risks with services outsourced by CME Group. This role will responsible for performing activities that support OR's Vendor Risk program. Responsibilities for this role include managing of day-to-day operations, monitoring of vendors that provide critical services, conducting risk assessments, identifying and evaluating third party risks, and further developing the VRM program framework.
Perform day-to-day operations by liaising with the TPRM team to answer customer survey questions, review completed vendor surveys, update business continuity recovery plans, and identify and evaluate third party business continuity risks
Assist in managing the Operational Resilience and Physical Security Vendor Risk program procedures, strategy, and operations
Oversee new and ongoing risk assessments and monitoring of specific third party relationships that are aligned to the Vendor Risk survey; monitoring practices may include conducting onsite audits and ensuring that mitigation agreements are adhered
Manage relationships with internal and external partners to ensure the required third party assessments, due diligence documentation and risk management activities are completed in a timely and accurate manner
Evolve the Vendor Risk program maturity model ensuring alignment with industry standards, organizational goals, and TPRM program framework
Manage relationships with TPRM, Enterprise Risk Management, Procurement, Global Information Security, and key lines of business to ensure visibility into and understanding of key risk areas
Drive the Vendor Risk exercise program that incorporates and tests critical third party services during CME Group's exercises
2-5 years' experience assessing third party risk
Knowledge of risk management practices and financial regulatory environment for third party risk
Strong communication skills, including the ability to build and manage relationships internally and externally
Proficient in Microsoft Suite (e.g. MS Office, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint)
Business Continuity experience is preferred but not required
System knowledge of Fusion Risk Management and Archer GRC solution preferred but not required
