Financial Crime Compliance aligns current activities within Global Risk and helps to build these into a more integrated framework to conduct Customer Due Diligence which enables HSBC to manage financial crime risk more effectively. It builds stronger controls to improve the way Financial Crime Compliance risks are managed in order to spot gaps as well as trends so that the team can take action. It proactively gathers and analyses financial intelligence in a smart way so that suspicious transactions, activities or connections can be identified and we can adequately protect our customers from the threat of financial crime.
We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as SVP Compliance AMSG
Leadership to ensure proactive approach is taken to identification of Regulatory Compliance risk change and potential impacts
Development and continuous review for appropriateness of framework to monitor Regulatory and FCC Compliance developments
Implement as required global initiatives, policies, and systems that ensure that exposure to regulatory compliance and reputational risks is managed, in a practical and effective manner, including efficient and reasonable deployment of resources and an understanding of the business operations and needs.
Act as principal point of contact for internal and external stakeholders in relation to all Compliance matters
Interact with regulators and industry bodies on Regulatory Compliance matters
Provide advisory to the business in their development and implementation of effective First Line controls to manage Compliance risk
Support business to deliver fair outcomes for our customers and ensure that the conduct of the business maintains the orderly and transparent operation of financial market
Lead the implementation and oversight of Compliance policy and governance frameworks, procedures, practices, and standards to ensure quality, effective risk management, and regulatory compliance
Focus on aligning the operating practices with changes in Global Regulatory Compliance and regulatory risk
·Degree holder with extensive work experience in the area of AML, CFT, Financial Crime Compliance with in order to be able to exercise sound judgement in implementing various requirements
·Excellent communication and inter personal skills, with experience of dealing with executives at all levels including the capacity to articulate the case for risk management and policy in the language of business
·Ability to develop practical, cost effective solutions to complex issues
·Experience of dealing with regulatory matters and confident interaction with Regulators.
·Experience of interpreting and analyzing a large volume of information and data and provide succinct summary for management
