Credit Suisse Energy Infrastructure Partners AG ("CSEIP") is an investment boutique specializing in investments in the energy infrastructure sector in Switzerland, Europe, and in due course select emerging markets. We are a pioneer in our field and act as investment manager for a number of institutional investment vehicles. The vehicles invest directly in energy infrastructure plants and projects across the entire energy value chain, such as hydroelectric power plants, electricity and gas networks and wind farms.
Are you looking to assume a position of responsibility in our steadily growing company right from the start and use your business acumen to detect untapped value potential and contribute to our successful joint development?
This challenging position is housed within the portfolio and investment management team, and will focus on independently leading and adding value to existing energy infrastructure equity investments or greenfield projects in developed as well as emerging markets. You will inter alia be responsible for:
Market, portfolio, and asset monitoring from a qualitative and quantitative perspective and independently deriving and implementing value-creation initiatives. Such value-creation initiatives may be delivered at either asset level or portfolio level, and may be comprised of a combination of legal, technical, financial, or strategic interventions
Planning and preparing Advisory Board and Board of Directors' meetings and providing the necessary decision-making bases; representing interests in the respective governance bodies
Developing, monitoring and managing risk mitigation programs (e.g. structuring and negotiating long-term offtake agreements to hedge the electricity price risk)
Writing and further developing periodic reports on the managed investments in portfolio companies for the attention of the investors and Investment Committees
Developing, monitoring and maintaining financial models and conducting internal company valuations, e.g. for hold/sell decisions for the existing investments in companies
Working with the transactions team and providing leadership in optimizing the financing structure associated with potential new investments
Reviewing and negotiating key transaction documentation and contracts with a view on enhancing shareholder return and minimizing transaction risk
Providing ad hoc support with client inquiries, presentations, publications, and fundraising efforts
You Offer You offer
Successfully completed higher academic degree in engineering, natural or quantitative sciences with additional postgraduate training in business administration, corporate finance and valuation
At least 10 years' relevant, well documented professional experience within the energy and infrastructure sectors, ideally as an investor
Experience of identifying and executing value creation initiatives at project or portfolio level, with a view on improving asset performance while also reducing project risk
In-depth expertise of project financing structures for infrastructure assets across various geographies and technologies including relevant credit enhancing instruments acquired either on the lender or borrower side
A track record of working on pioneering, first-in-kind projects as advisor, investor or lender within certain markets
Highly developed ability to think analytically and conceptually combined with a capacity for acting in an independent, proactive and entrepreneurial manner
Persuasive, highly communicative personality with the ability to get to grips swiftly with complex topics
High degree of commitment, strong creativity and ability to work independently within the team; willing to support junior team members in their further development
Excellent knowledge of English is required, and knowledge of German and French is desirable
Excellent knowledge of MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
