You will be responsible for supporting the business manage its Financial Crime (FC) risks within appetite, as well as driving effective implementation of the Group's AML/CTF, Sanctions, procedures and controls. The nature of this role will see you engage across multiple stakeholders across RBS and the wider CBA group.

The RBS Financial Crime (FC) team is an integral part of the RBS Controls and Customer Outcomes team. Risk Management is one of the six Strategic Priorities within RBS highlighting the importance of sound risk management in today's banking environment. The CBA group is the largest Financial Services Business in Australia and as a result we have a huge opportunity to positively affect the wellbeing of the community through the detection and disruption of Financial Crime.
In any given week you will
Be responsible for identifying and managing Financial Crime Risk for RBS. This will include:
Initiate and refresh Financial Crime Product and Channel risk assessments
Assist in development/refinement of the Control environment by developing and maintaining FC risk remediation action plans, FC controls and designing test plans.
Assist in the management of the Incident Reporting Framework to ensure incidents are captured in RiskInSite appropriately and conduct root cause analysis to ensure action plans are appropriate and the action plans are completed
Assist in regular and ad hoc risk reporting to ensure focus and visibility on key FC risks issues
Understand the evolution of RBS's risk framework and other Group policies and assist the business to comply with risk management policy
CommBank uses RiskInSite as its enterprise-wide risk management system. A key aspect to the role will see you maintain this system in line with group standards.
We're interested in hearing from people who have
A tertiary qualification in a relevant discipline e.g. finance, risk, commerce with ACAMS certification
Experience within a risk and controls role within a financial services firm
Strong influencing and negotiation skills
Ability to build a deep network of relationships across the group
The capacity to work in a busy, commercial, competitive environment and the ability to meet objectives / targets and deliver customer service
