Your role as the Control Assurance Manager is to assist and lead in the management Control Assurance Program to ensure reporting and adherence in line with Group standards.

The Network Quality and Control Team supports the following critical face-to-face channels across RBS: Customer Service Network (CSN) Distribution channel is comprised of the Branch Network, Premier & Mobile Banking, International Premier & Retail Banking and Branch and Self-Service Distribution (ATM/IDM Network). The Network Quality & Control team delivers comprehensive and integrated risk support service, providing risk management advice and coordination of the implementation of risk management activities to our business partners.
On any given day you will:

Lead, manage and coach a team of high performing risk professionals to maintain high quality deliverables.
Integrating and embedding the insights and controls proposed during risk workshops into the CSN Risk Profile.
Assist the Senior Manager, Profile & Controls with general enquiries encompassing, but not limited to, management and escalation of any known process, policy and operational issues within the business.
Facilitate and support the capture and maintenance of the Customer Service Network Risks (Operational and Compliance) through control, incident and issue objects within RiskInSite whilst ensuring high quality standards are being met.
Ensure all periodical reporting requirements are appropriately documented, delivered on-time and accurate to ensure focus and visibility on key risks and controls. These include Control Assurance Program (CAP) updates to the Risk and Sub-Risk Committee, Issue Management Forum, Non-Financial Reporting Committee etc.
Forge strong relationships with key internal business partners such as Line 1 Risk/Quality & Controls (Product/Channel and Central teams), Customer Service Network Strategy & Operations, Retail Network and Line 2 & 3 Risk and Compliance to assist the business in delivering on key operational risk and compliance requirements.
As a Manager, you will have visibility and exposure across all Retail Products and Channels. In the course of this role, you will have exposure across various stakeholder groups including Finance, Support functions and the broader Retail Products Business. You will also have the opportunity to gain exposure to World Class Risk methodologies and frameworks.
We're interested in hearing from people who possess a combination of the below:
Experience in Financial services industry based knowledge and experience
Demonstrated knowledge of Operational Risk Management Framework and Compliance Management
The capacity to work in a busy, commercial, competitive environment and the ability to meet objectives/targets and deliver customer service
Strong leadership capability with the ability to manage a team of high performing risk professionals
Strong organisational, planning and time management skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple work streams/tasks simultaneously, prioritise and deliver to deadlines.
Commercially astute with proven experience in managing varied stakeholder groups (including senior management) with the ability to have difficult conversations and maintain professional relationships.
