Within the Credit unit, you will be responsible for the managing, implementing and monitoring loans to clients for the Bank in Luxembourg and its branches in Europe.
Your task will therefore be to ensure that applications for loans meet the requirements of the Bank's own internal guidelines as well as regulatory provisions.
You will report to the head of the Credit unit in Luxembourg.
Reviewing and drafting the documentation regarding the granting of loans (delegation of receivables, guarantees, deeds of pledge, deeds of delegation, circular resolutions, derivative product mandates, etc.).
Requesting the missing documents from the parties concerned, and ensuring that the missing documents are regularly passed on to the management.
Coordinating the exchanges between the parties involved in the loan approval process both in-house (Legal, Operations, Accounting, Group Credit teams, etc.) and externally (insurance companies, legal advisors, etc.).
Sending the documentation regarding the granting of loans to the different parties involved.
Working with the other members of the team to monitor the loan workflows so as to ensure they meet quality requirements and are efficient.
Preparing the files for presentations to the management for decision-making, when necessary.
Providing fast and efficient follow-up of loan applications both in terms of the documentation, as well as in terms of exposure and invoicing (administration, credit risk controlling, etc.).
Playing an active part in developments in the process for granting loans, identifying possible ways of improving the process and helping to implement them.
Ensuring that the files relating to loans granted to clients are kept up to date (electronic files and systems).
Providing assistance on a daily basis to the head of the Credit unit in Luxembourg.
Qualification in the field of law or administration with a focus on banking law, economics, finance or management.
At least 2 to 3 years' experience in credit administration with a financial institution (ideally a private bank).
Knowledge of the regulatory environment regarding credit.
Good knowledge of credit risk control.
Skilled user of MS Office.
Good knowledge of Avaloq banking and SWIFT interbank messaging software would be an asset.
Fluent in English and French; command of another European language would be a plus.
Strong understanding of organisational and time management techniques.
Team player and with excellent interpersonal skills.
Keen sense of initiative.
Excellent communication skills: active listening, willingness to share, defend and support ideas (both spoken and in writing).
