Initiate, manage, and facilitate timely completion & quality execution of governance & controls related initiatives/ tasks (e.g. operational risk management, regulatory reporting, policies and procedures, etc.) to ensure full compliance of policy and regulatory requirements
Conduct control gap assessments/ trend analysis, and related risk monitoring(RCSA, KRI, etc.)
Assist the team in identifying potential compliance and internal control issues, and monitor progress of required improvement actions
Ensure timely reporting/escalating of risk events/significant incidents via communication of reporting requirements with respective units and regular tracking and monitoring to ensure timely issue resolution.
Promote risk control cultures and provide trainings
Develop dashboards, tools, policies and processes relating to compliance and other ad hoc projects
Support compliance review, internal and external audit engagements
Lead actively in the development and refinement of internal controls and processes for enhancing internal operational efficiency, customer journey and employee journey
Coaching junior members of the team
Minimum of 10 years of experience in banking industry, at least 5 years in private banking or wealth management
Sound knowledge and experiences in operational risk management, compliance and local regulatory requirements
Strong understanding in financial products, policies and procedures in private banking. Hands-on remediation project and process improvement experience.
A team leader with excellent project management skill and interpersonal skill
Excellent critical thinking and analysis skills, problem solving capacities
Self-motivated, independent, strong sense of ownership with ability to work in a team environment.
