Your Team Small Business Banking (SBB) provides relationship management to approximately 800,000 customers' relationships nationally. Our Small Business team meet the needs of Small Business customers through proactive client contact and opportunity origination and fulfilment in the sub $100k space. Our Small Business Specialists are located in our branch network and offer a personalised face-to-face service for small business customers.
Your Impact & Contribution The purpose of the Operations Manager, Small Business is to support the on boarding of new staff into the Small Business Lending team, including support with managing continued upskill and required learning such as Customer Conversation Training, CAA and Tier 2 Accreditation. They will also assist with the coordination, tracking and reporting of our Small Business Specialists participating in the Accelerated Accreditation Program (AAP).
The operations manager will be responsible for workflow management and reporting and will be accountable for key activities such as Opportunity (OM) allocation and oversight of team capacity.
The Operations Manager, Small Business will play a key role in supporting the development of capability of Business Bankers and Small Business Specialists in this space.
Your Reporting Lines The Operations Manager, Small Business will report to the Team Manager, Small Business Operations and Credit Support.
Support the Team Manager, Small Business and Team Manager, Small Business Operations and Credit Support with the on boarding of new staff into the Small Business Team, including ensuring they meet the required timeframes for Tier 2 accreditation, Customer Conversation Training and Credit Training working towards their CAA
Tracking and reporting on Credit Assurance and Hindsight themes and outcomes to support banker upskilling and coaching, working with the teams dedicated credit coaches to develop ongoing capability uplift plans. This also includes liaising with key stakeholders such as Credit Academy and BPB capability for training as required
Manage the team Opportunity Management queue, ensuring new opportunities are allocated to Business Bankers within the required service level agreements. This will require monitoring and reporting on team capacity, activity and pipeline
Manage workflow of approved BizExpress and CCL applications to be fulfilled by the Associate Relationship Manager, Small Business
Support and coordinate the on boarding of SBS' onto the Accelerated Accreditation Program, including tracking accreditation requirements
Your Skills & Experience
Knowledge of business systems associated with BPB, e.g. CommSee, CCL & RiskInSite
Basic understanding of BPB Transaction and Commercial Lending products and an interest in learning about the Financial Services industry
Ability to build relationships with a variety of stakeholders
Strong attention to detail
Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Ability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively in a team environment
Exceptional written and oral communication skills
Exceptional organisational and time management skills
FSRA Tier 2 Accreditation (or willing to obtain this level of accreditation)
Good understanding of the Bank's products and systems
