As the Senior Manager Risk & Control Advisory & Delivery, you will manage operational and strategic activities under your span of control to optimise the risk and control environment in the portfolio by providing a comprehensive operational risk capability which includes process control and culture.

The Customer Service Network (CSN) is responsible for developing strong customer relationships and experiences through the Branch Network, Self Service Distribution (ATMs and IDMs) and the Specialist Retail Distribution business (SRD) (Premier Banking, Migrant Financial Services, Business Home Lending, Mobile Banking and Referral Partners).
In any given week you will (A snap shot)
Lead a small team to deliver on a range of control owner responsibilities, control improvements, risk capability and culture uplift and operational team support, to agreed quality standards and timelines.
Assist with and manage all operational activities (internal and external team communications, team off sites and meetings, visual management boards, intranet site/s) and strategic initiatives (team structures, project management updates) which will impact the wider NQC team and the business it supports
Implement Risk Operations framework and processes to support the wider NQC team
Assist to drive consistency in methodology and approach relating to communications and strategy for the wider NQC team
Continuous improvement of the businesses' control environment, including the appropriate design and operational effectiveness of key and compensating controls, with a focus on 'buying down risk'
Define and manage CSN information security processes including information security alerts, notification, remediation and frameworks relating to potential risk gate/staff management
Ensure strong stakeholder relationships with individual LoB, sponsors, risk peers, project teams and support partners including Human Resources, Finance, and Workplace Relations etc.

Ability to lead and motivate a small team to deliver on defined objectives
Knowledge of Operational and Compliance Risk frameworks would be advantageous
Sound knowledge of a retail business and distribution model would also be advantageous
Ability to think critically and analytically and use data driven insights to solve problems
Ability to analyse/identify risks and opportunities and recommend appropriate solutions and strategic enhancements
Influencing and consulting skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
