OCC is looking for interns who are hungry for the chance to learn more, humble enough to admit they dont know all the answers, and smart enough to recognize the opportunity. As a summer intern, you will help lead projects that help shape the future of OCC. Heres what were looking for:
Projects and Responsibilities:
Assist in risk assessments for various MRDM processes (portfolio revaluation, mid-day variation, intra-day margin monitoring, default testing, etc.)
Gather, query and analyze data for daily, monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc monitoring and reporting
Perform research and summarized findings in support of analyzes
Provide support to MRDM team members for reporting of risk exposures
Ad hoc projects
Critical thinker with strong problem solving skills with attention to detail
Proficient computer and technical skills (Microsoft office suite - Excel, PowerPoint, Word; Basic coding SQL)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Currently pursuing a degree in Finance, Economics, Computer Science or related field
What knowledge and skills will you gain from this internship?
Understanding of the Financial Industry and Markets, derivatives and option trading strategies
Clearinghouse fundamental knowledge and application
Gain regulatory awareness and understanding of risk-related policies/controls in a heavily regulated environment
Obtain risk monitoring and mitigating best practices
