An excellent opportunity has recently arisen within the London Operational Risk Team for an individual to utilise their skills. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the team with undertaking 2nd line of defence activities in relation to operational and resilience risk across multiple locations in Europe.
The successful individual will be proactively involved in the management of operational risks, improvement of the control environment, efficient resolution of issues and improving the maturity of the 1st Line of Defense in respect of operational risk awareness. This will involve working with key stakeholders within the Bank across all levels, creating an embedded culture of operational risk and management practices and effective associated activities.
Possessing excellent knowledge of Operational Risk frameworks you will assist the business areas with appropriate risk documentation and analysis as required. Manage the review and documentation of risk events, assist in the preparation of the Operational Risk ICAAP, facilitate RCSA workshops including control testing, collect and analyse KRI data and be actively engaged in the Operational Risk register process. The successful candidate will attend the Operational Risk Committee meetings. In addition, the successful individual will be involved in Operational Resilience processes including IT, BCM and Cyber.
Ideally, you will hold a professional qualification in risk management and have evidenced professional development within operational risk.
With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the role will involve inter-departmental and external client interaction, an opportunity to be a proactive member of the Operational and wider Risk team.
