Provide legal support to wholesale banking and treasury business in OCBC head office and other global treasury branches and subsidiaries of OCBC Group.
Advise relevant stakeholders on local and global regulatory developments with an impact on OCBC's wholesale banking and global treasury business.
Provide advice, guidance, direction on banking and finance transactions.
Responsible for the drafting and negotiation of Master Agreements and related collateral agreements (ISDA, CSA, GMRA, GMSLA, TMA) with counterparties in various jurisdictions.
Co-ordinate with, and respond to, queries relating to the Master Agreements from, other functional specialists in the Bank, to resolve legal/credit risk/operational/tax/business issues and obtain relevant approvals.
Ensure adherence with procedures of the Bank's documentation standards and to maintain/update documentation templates, procedures, etc.
Responsible for managing and updating documentation management systems.
Assist in the onboarding process by reviewing corporate capacity and authority documents from counterparties to ensure proper authority to trade wholesale banking products and also enter into banking relationship with the Bank.
Qualifications Job Requirements
Singapore, Hong Kong or English qualified lawyer with at least 6 years PQE.
Fluent in written and oral English. Sound proficiency in Chinese or Bahasa will be an advantage to support the overseas subsidiaries of OCBC Group.
Must have banking and finance experience including experience in lending, security documents and other corporate banking matters.
Experience in treasury, derivatives and structured finance work will be an advantage.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Candidate must be able to work independently and with other functional specialists in completing projects.
Agile mindset in embracing use of technology for legal innovation and change management will be viewed positively.
