Change Recruitment Groups Global Asset Manager client with offices in Edinburgh are looking to hire an Operational Change Associate to join their busy team that deliver operational change for their range of clients. The team will be responsible for all operational change, including the on-boarding of products and mandates for the EMEA region and will support global colleagues with wider operational change initiatives.
Responsibilities of the Operational Change Associate:
· The team will be responsible for all market opening requests for all pooled vehicles and segregated mandates including the market due diligence process. · Management of change/project work assigned to the team. · Product Management Liaison and product level change management from an operations perspective (fund launch, closure, share class launch, client take on/off/migration and in species for all pooled products). · Co-ordination of all operational change processes relative to client mandates e.g. new funds, terminations and in specie transfers. · Assist with the business IMA review process, ongoing review on IMA's for segregated mandates. · Assist with the support of all operational change processes relative to amending existing client details/IMAs or Product. · Maintenance of Authorised Signatory lists and their distribution. · Timely and accurate regulatory reporting across a number of global regulatory regimes (MIFID,AIFMD, FATCA/CRS). · Assess and implement any new regulatory reporting requirements under future regimes/directives. · Ensure appropriate framework in place to achieve accurate and timely regulatory filings. · Provide the portfolio management teams with market opening support, which may involve liaising with custodians and client relationship teams to ensure that all market opening requests are processed effectively. · Market renewal and POA management. · Management of LEI application and renewal for all pooled products. · Processing and oversight of the market due diligence process. · Administrative support to the BCP function. · Liaise with internal/external business partners to ensure that they continue to provide the agreed service levels, escalating service issues where appropriate. · Ensure that all processes and controls relative to the team's activities are followed. · Work collaboratively with global colleagues on change initiatives. · Ensure that there are appropriate and documented procedures and checklist and aligning these globally with other regions.
Background of the Operational Change Associate:
· Must be able to and continue to demonstrate continuing competence in accordance with FCA Training and Competence Regime
· Proven and demonstrable experience and knowledge of the investment industry, with proven work experience in funds administration especially corporate actions, pricing and data management · Knowledge and understanding of securities markets, Equities, Foreign Exchange, Fixed Income and Derivatives with a strong knowledge of Corporate Actions. · Exceptional drive and proactive outlook, able to work on own initiative · Able to demonstrate a high degree of attention to detail · Excellent relationship management skills, both with internal and external clients · Team player, willing to help colleagues in busy periods · Exceptional customer service mentality · Good knowledge of market information systems · Some exposure to data management systems · Team player, willing to contribute fully to the workings of the department within a team framework · Proactive and able to work on own initiative · Ability to meet strict deadlines · Energetic and enthusiastic
