The European Investment Fund is seeking to recruit for its Front Office Business Support Division, at its headquarters in Luxembourg, a: Front Office Business Support Officer Appointment will be made on the basis of a fixed term contract of three (3) years. Purpose: The incumbent ensures, as part of the Front Office Business Support team, the overall EIF transaction workflow, pipeline and portfolio management on behalf of the EIF Front Office (i.e. Equity Investments and Guarantees Department). S/he is primarily responsible for the accuracy and timely input of all Equity and Guarantees transactions (pre-signature) related data in the various applications and systems as well as the consistent production of key reports and analysis of EIF's Equity and Guarantees portfolios (regular and ad-hoc). S/he also carries out a variety of coordination responsibilities and process development tasks and is actively involved in the design and implementation of systems and applications supporting Front Office operations. Operating Network: The chosen candidate reports to the Head of Data Integrity Unit, and works closely with various Front Office teams as well as other EIF services. Responsibilities:
Ensure timely and accurate EIF Front Office workflow, pipeline and portfolio management including input and analysis of transaction data;
Actively contribute to the enhancement of internal processes, applications, dashboards and systems (e.g. automation of key internal transaction documents, development of Equity and Guarantees dashboards, reports and presentations, etc.) in line with EIF Front Office needs;
Define clear project milestones and provide constant feedback on developments for the assigned projects;
Proactively carry out discrepancy analysis and consistency checks to improve information quality and governance;
Act as a central point of contact for EIF Front Office in relation to (internal and external) transaction data queries and related requests;
Promote innovation, continuously identifying possibilities for efficiency improvements and proactively manage change processes.
University degree, preferably at post-graduate level in finance, business, statistics or related subjects;
At least three (3) years' experience in a similar role including transaction planning, systems improvement and data management;
Any - or combination - of the following will be considered advantage:
Prior experience in banking/asset management and/or familiarity with equity investments (private equity or venture capital) and/or portfolio guarantees will be considered;
Good knowledge and experience in project management, methods and practices;
Good understanding of EIF's business (Equity Investments and/or Guarantees) and systems (i.e. e-Front, Business Objects, Tableau);
Understanding of the overall relationship between EIF, EIB, Financial Intermediaries and the EU as well as the respective operational framework of EIF;
Excellent knowledge of English (oral and written). Knowledge of other EU languages would be an advantage.
