Job Description The Role: We are looking for an AVP Analyst to assign and monitor credit ratings on corporates based in Japan. The position entails working with Moody's global team to assign and monitor Japanese companies and interacting with investors, intermediaries and issuers at senior levels.
?Analyze quantitative and qualitative data for companies and industry sectors.
Assess debt transaction terms, capital and organizational structure, and legal documentation.
Recommend initial ratings on new issuers and changes to ratings of existing issuers to a rating committee.
Build relationships with clients and other stakeholders such as investors, issuers, intermediaries, media, and regulators.
Publish research on companies and industries.
Present Moody's views at conferences.
Mentor junior analysts.
Over 5 years as Analyst in financial credit analysis or related experience.
Academic background equivalent to MSc/MBA in relevant areas.
CIMA / ACCA / CFA professional qualification would be beneficial.
Fluency in both English and Japanese in speaking and writing.
