CME Group is currently looking for a Clearing House Risk year-round intern.
This candidate will assist the Market Risk department with customer inquiries regarding risk management methodologies, data analysis and report generation on a product, firm, and/or market perspective for both internal and external audiences, Clearinghouse and Market risk testing and process improvements efforts, and ad-hoc projects.
Responsible for monitoring the risk hotline which entails answering client questions on performance bond margins and CME software
Responding to customer inquiries via the clearing risk inbox
Assisting analysts on day-to-day tasks as well as ad-hoc projects
Performing portfolio analysis for clients
Proficient with Microsoft Excel
Flexible with learning new software and databases
Strong communication skills
Knowledge of financial instruments
Prior internship experience is a plus
Education: Currently pursuing a BS or BA in Economics, Finance, Agriculture Economics, Engineering, Statistics, Mathematics, and other related degrees.
Location/Hours for this Year-Round position:
Candidates should be attending a Chicagoland University;
Year round intern must able to be in the Chicago office 3-5 times a week;
Must be able to work 20-30 hours per week during the school year and 30-40 hours per week during the summer
