What is the opportunity? As the Director of Private Client Credit Solutions you will lead the development, delivery, and management of structured lending programs for target client segments within USWM. This includes management and oversight of a team of senior credit officers. You will work with senior management to ensure that our credit offering remains competitive and appropriate for our target client base. You will act as a senior interface for Credit with Group Risk Management - Credit.
What will you do?
Manages a team of senior credit officers responsible for identifying, structuring, and delivering Private Client credit solutions for HNW & UHNW clients of RBC USWM and the RBC Enterprise Strategic Client group
Develop and recommend structured credit program opportunities and strategies to Executive management and provide Senior Management guidance and support regarding structuring and assessing complex credit solutions and transactions for target HNW and UHNW client base.
Provide underwriting and risk rating expertise for different borrower types including natural persons, trusts, LLCs, Partnerships, Operating Companies, etc.
Oversee multi-faceted complex credit origination and credit portfolio management functions/disciplines and ensure policy and procedures are strategically aligned to credit risk appetite. Ensure established policy and procedures are followed by the credit officers
Support the annual review process to support the borrower risk rating framework
Participate in projects focused on growing the lending business, improving existing procedures, and/or improving risk management. Manage escalations and approve credit exceptions within DLA and manage to achieve financial targets set by the business
Assist with the development, enhancement and implementation of policy and product requirements and participate in projects focused on growing the lending business, improving existing procedures, and/or improving risk management

What do you need to succeed? Must-have
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in Finance, Business, Economics or related experience with 15+ years Private Banking and Credit experience. 5+ years of demonstrated sound managerial experience in leading and managing a team is necessary
Proven experience and expertise with broad range of credit products and with credit portfolio management and collateral monitoring with knowledge of local regulatory and compliance requirements
Strong understanding of Wealth Management credit business including interrelationships between the business, functions and Group Risk Management
Demonstrated ability to proactively manage deadlines and work within a dynamic and fast pace environment
Post Graduate Degree e.g. MBA
