Senior Fund Administrator/ Senior Fund Accountant (Team Lead role)

One of the world's fastest growing Financial Services and Buy Side firms is seeking to hire an experienced Fund Administrator with strong Fund Accounting knowledge and prior experience in mentoring a growing team.
You should have either strong Funds Operations, Funds Accounting or Funds Administration experience gained from either P/E (Private Equity), Hedge Funds, a funds administration consultancy or similar or a banking / finance institution, working with Private Equity, UHNW or Hedge Funds.
Due to rapid expansion and performance of several funds, the Client is seeking a senior hire to help mentor a growing team of Funds Operations, Funds Accounting Professionals. Growth and career opportunities within the firm are substantial and international.
Review of and ensure accuracy of NAV computations, funds distribution waterfall and investor allocations
Lead a team of fund accountants in performing AML/KYC checks on fund investors, delivery of accounting solutions and FATCA/CRS filing
Review fund launches and mandates and investment/ portfolio managers instructions
Liaise with external and internal auditors, compliance and risk colleagues and coordinate for regular audits on funds' performance and financial statements
Ensure controls are properly implemented
· Monitor team performance to meet client service level agreements
· Review operational procedures
Compile ad hoc reports and operation metrics as required by management
University degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline
A qualification in any official accounting qualification i.e. CIMA, ACA, ACCA
Minimum 4 years of work experience in fund administration of private equity funds with at least 2 years in a managerial or supervisory role
· Good communications, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
Strong verbal and written English skills, and proficiency in Mandarin is a must
· Flexibility and ability to multi-task
· Proficient in the use of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Knowledge with using E-front system or similar funds accounting packages are a distinct plus.
Candidate with less working experience may be considered for a Fund Accounting position, depending on experience.
