The role reports directly in to the Head of Sales. The hire will initially take ownership over the RFP process (you will see the process through front-to-back) - as there has never been a specialist RFP writer in the firm, there is a core project management element to the role in which we would look for the hire to set up a defined RFP process / mini-function + develop & lead projects around new processes, reviewing service providers (making changes where necessary) + more ad-hoc focused tasks such as analyzing specific clients with the information produced then used by the wider team.
The hire will attend meetings & pitches with the product specialists, in order to fully understand the funds, strategy and how they are marketed. With proof of performance, work ethic and writing style, the hire could also go on to take on 'assistant investment writer' responsibilities for a managing partner (checking what the managing partner has produced and adding your own input).
Candidates should have a solid academic profile. We prefer candidates to have 5-15 years relevant buy-side RFP experience. The hire should be comfortable owning the process and working hands-on, but with enough seniority and confidence to be a project manager.
The role is offering up to a 100k base salary and the expectation, assuming excellent individual performance, is for a bonus that can make up a large % of that number. The firm promote a great work-life balance and positive culture (including regular fully funded social events).
