This venture capital firm provides human and investment capital into high growth companies with a particular focus on transformative technologies which service or disrupt large high growth global markets. The firm has $400M in funds under management and are looking to bring on an Investment Analyst for the venture credit team. The Investment Analyst will be managing incoming deal flow, performing due diligence, monitoring existing and prospective fund investments and other quantitative and qualitative projects to support the broader Investment Team. The team is managed by seasoned individuals who have personally founded, built and exited high-growth businesses, have worked as corporate executives, have strong scientific pedigrees and extensive off-shore experiences and networks.
You will be exposed to the identification, assessment and investment process and a partnership approach to working with management teams to build and grow successful businesses. You will gain exposure to a local and off-shore network of investors and business owners in the VC space and receive a fantastic springboard to a career in the industry.
Candidates must demonstrate strong attention to detail, a highly professional manner and a dedication to maintaining the Firm's existing relationships within the innovation, business and private equity and venture capital community. Essential qualifications and experience for the Analyst position include:
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or Economics
Minimum of 3 years of financial sector experience, international experience is welcomed but not essential
Understanding of the venture credit and/or private credit industry
Sound analytical, written and technical skills, including proficiency in financial modelling, valuation and returns analyses
Ability to interact and communicate effectively with internal and external parties
A highly-motivated self-starter with the ability to work both independently and within a team context
A personal interest in venture capital and innovation Related work experience in management consulting, business restructuring, corporate advisory or start-up companies an advantage.
The Investment Analyst will be based in the Sydney CBD with an attractive salary package AUD80,000 to AUD90,000, including a generous training and professional development package.
