Rothschild & Co – UK Wealth Management, Business Solutions & Delivery
The Business Solutions & Delivery (BSD) team is responsible for the delivery and oversight of the change landscape across the UK Wealth Management business. This includes the active project management of, and contributing technical input to, strategic business or regulatory changes along with the coordination and oversight of smaller, business delivered, tactical initiatives.
In addition to the delivery of change initiatives, the team works extensively in direct support of the COO, Wealth Management UK / Co-COO of Wealth Management to enhance and develop the overall operating model of the business, covering the client facing, investment and infrastructure functions.
Overview of Role
As a Project Manager within the BSD team you will be responsible for the delivery of end-to-end change projects in support of the all functional areas across wealth management and be an active change advocate.
Whilst managing the delivery of change, you will also contribute technical and industry relevant input and insight to the definition, design and delivery phases of each project.
Along with overseeing your own programme of projects, you will also support smaller scale change initiatives as an internal consultant, providing insight and guidance on the appropriate governance and project discipline to ensure best practice is followed.
You will have a high degree of exposure to Senior Management at a Local, Divisional and Group level and will work collaboratively with the Group's wider change community to identify and resolve business challenges and maximise opportunities.
The role is based in London, but occasional international travel will be expected, especially to Switzerland.
Proven track record of delivering change within financial services. Likely gained either through a directly comparable role or experience with a consulting firm, resulting in an ability to demonstrate a detailed understanding of project/programme governance and the project lifecycle, with a history of successful delivery.
In-depth knowledge and experience of wealth management / private banking client segments, products / propositions and channels.
Hands-on experience of relevant financial services operations, having spent time working directly in a front, middle and/or back office processing role to understand client / trade lifecycles, custody arrangements and operational support models for collective investment schemes.
Recognition as a subject matter expert in front-to-back operating models within wealth management. Ability to demonstrate an acute understanding of the client lifecycle as it pertains to the industry, the challenges and peculiarities that result and extensive experience in resulting solution implementation.
Demonstrable history of driving operational excellence and efficiency as part of process analysis, design / re-design and documentation for both new process and continuous improvement scenarios. Always ensuring optimal outcomes and exceptional client service remain at the forefront.
Evidence of working within a dynamic team and the ability to lead and inspire others without direct managerial influence.
Strong IT skills; Avaloq know-how would be an asset.
Reliable, conscientious and professional with high level of professional integrity.
Capable of problem-solving and acting independently but able to manage and work in a team whenever required.
Excellent communication skills – verbal and written; professional manner; ability to articulate complex issues in a clear and concise manner.

Gravitas and acumen to work with business at the Senior Management level and to challenge where appropriate.
Ability to build and maintain relationships with key internal and external parties.
