Job Description Procurement Manager, Supplier Management is responsible for the holistic relationship between Moody's and third parties, ensuring a stable and efficient supply chain. Depending on the nature of the third party relationships, Supplier Manager may be responsible for the execution and tracking of multiple suppliers. This role will ensure key cost management, risk management, and performance management-related tasks for each of their assigned third party relationships are actively managed and reported on transparently. Additionally, this role is responsible for ensuring that all Corporate or Business Unit level policies and procedures are adhered to, as well as maintaining appropriate documentation for their assigned relationships.
Act as point of contact for business stakeholders and third party(ies) to manage an effective governance structure that enables the appropriate level of communication and interaction between Moody's and assigned third parties
Proactively engage with corporate departments to support initiatives and strategies associated with key metrics for the unique partnership and the growth of that partnership
Ensure performance improvement and recovery plans are developed, issued, tracked and reported on
Assist in the monitoring of SLAs or key performance indicators for third party relationships
Monitor and ensure successful delivery against third party contractual obligations
Manage on-boarding/off-boarding of key third party suppliers
Responsible for managing all third party-related audits
Plan and conduct periodic third-party business reviews, including appropriate internal and external stakeholders
Produce regular performance related reporting for internal stakeholders
Partner with appropriate stakeholders on sourcing activities which impact managed third-party relationships
Partner with internal risk groups to ensure third party relationships are compliant with all relevant requirements
Partner with internal budget owners to deliver against operating or marketing budgets
Partner with appropriate stakeholders on negotiations for all managed third-party relationships
Responsible for proper invoice review, reconciliation and payment
Proactively identify and mitigate third party related risks. Synthesize these risks and performance-related data into a holistic assessment of assigned third parties
Accountable for policy requirements for all managed third-party relationships
Maintain constant awareness of external marketplace as it relates to third parties and/or relevant internal capabilities
Identify mutually beneficial opportunities with third parties
Promote continuous improvement and a culture of innovation with managed third parties
Other activities may include:

4 - 6 years experience in Contract Management, Procurement, Vendor Management
Strong verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills
Knowledge of industry standard Procurement Policies and Procedures
Administration and Management -- Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning/thinking, resource allocation, leadership technique, production methods, and coordination of people and resources.
Analytical skills to analyze purchasing related data
Economics and Accounting -- Knowledge of economic and accounting principles and practices, the financial markets, banking and the analysis and reporting of financial data.
Technical Skills and knowledge of procurement tools
