Responsible for developing the overall statistical and data analytic framework and solutions for the Compliance function to improve the Company's ability in detecting and deterring suspicious and high-risk activities across PAMB's highly diverse distribution channels and customer base. This is a fast-developing area and requires a combination of analytical creativity, mathematical and statistical skills, and analytical execution experience on large datasets.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Implement and enhance the data analytic system and framework for detection and deterrence of high-risk sales person to mitigate risk of sales misconduct across PAMB's distribution channels.
Develop key sales compliance risk indicators and assess the results/output of the data analysis and translate into business dashboard/report/action items for the Market Conduct, Compliance and distribution channels' next course of action, i.e. sales compliance monitoring activities.
Implement or support the development/enhancement of new digitisation/ digitalisation initiatives within Compliance function such as automation of product sales materials and customer fact find forms review.
Using data analytics, support the implementation of compliance monitoring activities as required by PCA Compliance Monitoring Framework.
Support the implementation of sales compliance monitoring activities, e.g. agency office visits, mystery shopping, post sales monitoring activities, etc, in accordance with the Annual Compliance Plan.
Carry out any data analytic related assignments as may be assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
Degree in Economics, Statistics, Mathematics or related field.
3-5 years' experience, with statistical and data mining tools and inference. Working experience in the insurance industry would be an advantage.
Significant demonstrated data experience: (i.e., accessing, manipulating, transforming, preparing, processing).
Excellent written and oral communication skills; including the ability to communicate technical and quantitative information to a business audience.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to prototype code quickly, and work across languages.
