The SPOT (Surveillance Parameter Optimization and Tuning) team is part of FCC Controls Function. The main responsibility of SPOT is to fine tune and optimise the parameters used by the Transaction Monitoring and Screening tools to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of SCB's AML transaction monitoring platform.
We are looking for a specialist with relevant AML experience or good understanding of automated Transaction Monitoring tools and working proficiency with SQL/PLSQL.
The role responsibilities
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to influence the decision and manage stakeholders
Well organized and adept at balancing daily responsibilities with monthly and longer term objectives
Analyse comprehensive impact of financial crime related regulatory matters on the relevant business areas and its operations
Ensure that key changes (to laws, rules, regulations) are communicated and cascaded (in region/country), in coordination with group communications
Understand technical aspects of systems relevant to, Transaction Monitoring/Screening (systems like Mantas, Detica, Fircosoft, etc)
Apply risk and data analytic tools/techniques to optimise and tune relevant detection scenarios, and screening and monitoring systems
Review and assess existing system and controls relevant to FCC to ascertain operational performance and effectiveness
Masters/Graduate degree in Management/Statistics/Mathematics or Engineering from a reputed institution
3+ years of relevant AML experience with SQL and Oracle database
Exposure and experience to monitoring systems such as MANTAS and DETICA
A successful candidate will command a suite of business and technical skills with high attention to detail and general problem- solving interests
Good analytical and problem-solving expertise
Excellent collaborative and team building skills and a desire to work as a part of a high functioning team of financial intelligence specialists
Must be a quick learner, willing to learn any technology that might be required to complete the task
Statistical background/Working experience (modelling/analysis) would be an added advantage
