POSITION The Position The Client Analytics Analyst is a part of the Global Relationship Group (GRG) at Wellington. The GRG team services the firm's existing clients, develops new business, and maintains relationships with consultants. The role of the Client Analytics Analysts is to leverage data to provide actionable insights to the Relationship Managers, Business Development Managers, and Consultant Relationship Mangers to allow them to more effectively address the needs of clients, prospects, and consultants. This role will also be responsible for working with IT to ensure the data environment contains accurate and relevant data. This individual will produce reporting and work with senior management and business management in GRG as well as across the firm to provide analysis and reporting to assist with management decisions. RESPONSIBILITIES Specific responsibilities include:
Partnering with IT and GRG management, Marketing as well as other teams around the firm to design and build the technical infrastructure and data architecture required to create an integrated client/prospect/consultant view that drives effective analytics.
Creating valuable client/prospect/consultant insights and transformative business tools through the aggregation, manipulation, and dissemination of broad sets of data, ensuring fidelity with key data sources and integration with other technical teams.
Working closely with GRG colleagues globally to ensure that insights and tools are leveraged to improve ROI and create distinctive client experiences.
Demonstrating strong business acumen (e.g., comfort dealing with ambiguity, outcome-oriented with demonstrated drive for results) and communication skills (ability to synthesize insights, strong written/oral/interpersonal communications, enjoys building relationships). QUALIFICATIONS
5-7 years of experience in asset management particularly with client/prospect/consultant data analysis
Proficient understanding of sales process within the institutional asset management industry
Strong academic track record; accounting, economics, mathematics or finance major preferred
Technically self-sufficient with writing code in a variety of languages (Python, Java, C++/C#, SQL, VBA).
Technical ability to manipulate data for decision-making purposes, and solid working knowledge of visualization tools such as Tableau
Thoroughness and attention to detail are essential traits given the importance of communicating correct information to senior leaders of the firm to drive business decisions
Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, meet deadlines and deliver high quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment
Creativity, thoroughness, and high energy
Capable of taking responsibility for independent projects with limited supervision
Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong fit with the firm's cultural tenets of inclusivity, collaboration, accountability, and collegiality
