We are working with one of the largest privately-owned hotel investors and managers in the U.S. to hire a Senior Associate / Vice President for their European Acquisitions team in London.
Last year the firm made approx. $3BN in new acquisitions in the U.S., deployed and managed by a significant local team. Until now, Europe has represented a much smaller market for them, with approx. $1BN in acquisitions over the last 10 years in various European cities. They have recently sold the majority of their European portfolio at a considerable profit.
The firm typically makes acquisitions on a JV basis with leading Real Estate private equity funds and takes responsibility for the ongoing management of the hotels within their portfolio.
Whilst the current team in London is relatively small, our client is now looking to scale up in Europe which will include hiring a Senior Associate / Vice President to play a key role in growing the European business with new acquisitions.
5 to 8 years of experience, ideally investment banking trained and at least 1-2 years of Real Estate private equity acquisitions experience.
Hotel acquisitions experience is helpful but not a requirement. General Real Estate private equity experience is fine as long as the individual has a strong interest in Hotels.
Hotel Brokers with the same level of experience that have strong modelling and technical skills will also be considered.
Someone that can run and oversee the deal analytics (will have Analyst support) and manage investment due diligence and execution processes independently.
The potential to grow into a senior role and become a partner at the firm over time.
Ability and personality to help source off market deals.
