The ITSS Project Delivery team is responsible for supporting our businesses deliver on highly complex and innovative projects across ED&A, Digital Channels, Payments, Contact Centers, Customer Assistance, OMNI and ATM. Every day we challenge ourselves to direct the delivery of Risk and Control requirements to improve and secure the customer experience.
Reporting to the Senior Manager, ITSS Project Delivery, Governance and Control, the successful candidate is responsible for driving the execution of projects by working with second line Risk & Control partners, and Business Stakeholders within the Enterprise Data & Analytics (ED&A) business.
ED&A is leading TD's transformation to a data-driven organization by establishing and maintaining best-in-class data and analytics throughout the bank (e.g., analytics that provide actionable and valuable insights, both within and across divisions) and executing projects that contribute directly to the business, developing strong analytics expertise, driving standard methods, tools & processes and promoting leading practices.
This role will require technical understanding of the data and analytics environment coupled with risk management experience. The successful candidate will act as a subject matter expert and trusted advisor on the delivery of projects, with the ability to identify and communicate risks within TD's data and analytics environment to ensure appropriate project requirements that mitigate risks in accordance to TD's policies and standards. The role will also be responsible for supporting the completion of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA's) and building strong partnerships within the Corporate Privacy Office.
The successful candidate is someone that has experience and/or the ability to understand TD's data and analytics environment, including:
Understanding capability and impact of tools used to move, transform and query data within the TD Bank's Data and Analytics Ecosystem; including Talend, Podium, PARK and Python
Foundational knowledge of Data Platform repositories including HEAT, SHARE and EDPP
Knowledge of data reporting tools such as Tableau Visualization
Identify risk impacts from the use and movement of data, including data privacy, data access and security, data treatment and provisioning, appropriate use of data
Providing oversight and support of Layer 6 machine learning use cases \u2013 general understanding of machine learning processes and techniques to build predictive models
Takes the initiative, is very proactive, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
Acts as the main point of contact that coordinates and drives discussions with risk partners and business stakeholders on control requirement inclusion
Ensures delivery of risk and control requirements as part of project implementation
Acts as an expert in focusing conversations on solutions that satisfy internal policy and regulatory requirements
Coordinates the Project review process with relevant stakeholders to ensure risk and control considerations are satisfied
Acts as Privacy Designate for ED&A \u2013 including Privacy Impact Assessment review and approval, liaison with the Privacy Offices and Privacy Event Notification
Owns the accountability to ensure that all key required Project governance outputs are completed
Adheres to the defined operating model process and has a disciplined and focused approach to how to execute and get things done
Brings a strong understanding and experience of managing risk, challenge to business and a strong focus on risk governance and oversight
Maintains strong relationships with Business Management and Control partners within the enterprise
Ensures the timely communication of issues that are relevant to the team and related stakeholders, and encourages good working relationship with internal and external business partners and groups
Be proactively informed of all second line risk policy changes and support their implementation into team process
5\u002B years experience in a similar function, preferably in the Financial Industry
Highly motivated self-starter with a passion for challenging the status quo and the ability to stay resilient under pressure; proven ability to take independent action to achieve results
Strong communication, relationship building and project management skills
Strong technical skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint for the creation of management reports, presentations and analysis
Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholder groups including (not limited to) Audit, Compliance, Operational Risk, GAML, Finance and Legal
Ability to start at a high level and go deep to understand business problems
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to deliver results within strict timelines and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams, and achieve goals through others
