This is an exciting opportunity to support the Head of Compliance Control Room for the Asia region.
A great opportunity for you to join as an experienced professional to sit within the Compliance Control Room team in Asia (including Japan excluding Australia & New Zealand). This team is part of our Risk Management Group that manages our information barriers, conflicts of interest and position reporting. The team is also involved in projects and continuous improvement initiatives which will focus on working with data to extract insights and automate processes.
This dynamic position will have you regularly interacting with senior stakeholders in the front office as well as within the wider Compliance organisation. You will join our dynamic global team located across four offices - Sydney, Hong Kong, London and New York.
You will support the integrity of our information barriers, monitor transactional and non-transactional MNPI, advise on cross group interaction and facilitate wall crossings. You will perform conflict checks on private side activities and work with various stakeholders in managing conflicts. You will manage and monitor restrictions on research and trading activities, including reviewing research materials for Compliance with applicable regulations and internal. Your additional responsibility will also include position reporting and supporting the team in making sure our reporting obligations in Asia are met.
You'll bring 4-5 years' industry experience with energy and enthusiasm to learn and grow. Attention to detail, effective verbal and written communication skills, the ability to multi-task and complete time sensitive tasks along with the maturity to handle confidential information and issue escalation are essential. You will ideally have industry experience with a solid understanding of key rules and regulations around conflicts of interest and investment banking across Asian jurisdictions.
