Individually assess and challenge credit applications for a variety of counterparties, such as clients, banks and countries.
Managing the implementation of a new Internal Credit Rating system.
Analysing financial information, which will include; annual reports, management accounts and cash flow statements enabling a thorough assessment of credit worthiness of existing and prospective clients.
Conducting periodic reviews of existing non-bank, bank and country credit counterparties.
Ensuring Credit Policies and Procedures are up to date and in line with Regulatory requirements.
Supporting the Manager, Credit Risk and the Chief Risk Officer where essential.
5-10 years' experience in Credit Risk within a Financial Institution.
Strong Knowledge of legal, compliance, accounting and market-risk related issues involved in the approval of credit.
Prior experience with communicating credit assessment challenges confidently with Senior Management including at the Management Credit Committee level.
Exposure to working within a Trade Finance environment.
