You will play an active role in the origination, structuring and execution of transformational transactions for leading financial institutions and related companies (banks, insurers, asset managers and other financial institutions).
Participate in the origination and execution of M&A and capital markets transactions;
Prepare presentations and pitch books to support the origination of new mandates;
Undertake research and analysis, analyse and explain historical and projected financial information to develop financial models and perform valuation;
Perform capital analysis to identify opportunities for balance sheet optimisation and to support the DCM team;
Support the execution of mandated transactions including managing client relationships, managing the due diligence process, assisting in the documentation process, coordinating the activities of the working group;
Maintaining active contacts with others departments/disciplines, such as Corporate Finance, DCM and Relationship Management;
Assist in identifying potential clients and transactions; and
Candidates should be prepared to undertake frequent short-term travelling
(Honours) Degree from a reputable university (preferably quantitative);
2 to 3 years' experience in M&A/corporate finance. Experience in the financial institutions sector will be an added advantage;
Possess good financial and strong analytical skills, methodical and meticulous with proven ability to perform financial modelling and financial analysis;
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle pressure and tight deadlines;
Highly proficient in Excel, PowerPoint and word processing applications;
Self-motivated and confident with a high degree of initiative; and
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
