As Senior Manager, Life Insurance you will play a critical role in providing practical and integrated risk and compliance advice, oversight and insights to the Life Insurance business in the Consumer Division of Westpac.
Your key focus:
Establishing a good understanding of key Life Insurance business processes and controls;
understanding and interpreting regulatory obligations and Westpac Group and Policies and Procedures and monitoring industry developments;
Playing a key role in deep dives and other monitoring activities conducted by the risk team and use process and risk techniques to generate insights; and
Maintain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders and effectively communicates and engages with management and staff.
Involvement in multiple project and regulatory change initiatives

What do I need?
You will be a strong communicator, with advanced stakeholder engagement, problem solving and prioritisation skills, with the ability to challenge the status quo. You will possess strong resilience, be comfortable in working with complexity and ambiguity and be able to operate effectively in a changing environment.
Degree qualified, Minimum of a Bachelor degree
7 years' experience in large corporations or regulator, with exposure to insurance
Strong analytic skills and demonstrated ability to execute strategy
Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory environments and experience in managing implications across financial services businesses.
Experience managing risk in change and projects advantageous
