The Chief Controls Office within Enterprise Services is a first line of accountability function who are a group of trusted and skilled risk management experts empowering our business. The purpose of the Chief Controls Office is to enable our business to be safe, sound and secure underpinned by strong risk management.
Do work that matters:
Reporting to the Senior Manager your role is to work with a team of Risk Professionals providing Line 1 Technology risk and other non-financial risk management and support for the Group Data Office (GDO). More specifically, you will be working on a key privacy project that will include the following activities:
Maintaining strong professional expertise in risk management issues and approaches within the GDO. Capturing GDO risks and controls in a risk profile and reporting key themes in line with Group Standards.
Provide delivered and delivery risk advice to the Group's Privacy related strategic initiatives as they impact on Enterprise Services.
Design and implement / support the business to design and implement controls to enable better risk and compliance outcomes.
Help drive continuous improvement of the business control environment by using data to generate insights and reports.
Conduct root cause analysis of issues and incidents, identifying and implementing control improvements.
Ensure effective design of controls for all new and changing processes and operations, and support the business through the implementation.
Identify and initiate actions to mitigate risks and to strengthen controls, including issues identified through audits and other external processes.
Ensure data quality in/maintain various databases (including RiskInSite) and monthly management reporting.
Contribute to a proactive risk and control culture and collaborate with the business

Sound understanding of risk management frameworks and relevant certifications

Ability to analyse/identify risks & opportunities and recommend appropriate actions
Influencing & consulting skills, the ability to build relationships with stakeholders at all levels
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Professional certifications (e.g. CA, RMIA)
Relevant tertiary qualifications (e.g. BCom)
