We are currently seeking a high caliber professional to join our team as Associate Director Global Banking and Markets Regulatory Compliance
To support the Head of Regulatory Compliance Business Compliance, ASP in ensuring that Global Banking and Markets meet both Group and external legal and regulatory requirements
To assist the Head of Regulatory Compliance Business Compliance, ASP in maintaining consistently high standards of compliance across the respective business activities
To keep abreast of developments and activities of concern to Global Banking and Markets
Senior member of a team who provide specialist advisory guidance, support and policy interpretation to the Global Banking and Markets Functions
Communication of output and messaging across multiple Global Banking and Markets product lines. This will include the representation of material to internal and external stakeholders including regulators, senior management, auditors, internal governance, control and risk management meetings
Accountable for managing a robust compliance coverage of Regulatory Compliance for all Global Banking and Markets initiatives, providing key compliance SME advisory offering and ensuring consistent approaches globally across Global Banking and Markets sub lines of business
Execution and tracking of project initiatives and deliverables, providing instant updates to Senior Management and Business Management as required
Responsible for managing the end to end advisory and risk steward requirements to support relevant Global Banking and Markets business led initiation
Partner with regulatory change and other regulatory SMEs to understand new and revised regulatory requirements ensuring changes and any impact is disseminated to appropriate Businesses
Coordinating with equivalent counterparts in regional and Group compliance teams to ensure a consistent best practice and joined up approach to the oversight of the Businesses
Seasoned professional from the global financial services industry
Knowledge of all Global Banking and Markets products
Experience of the HSBC Group, its culture, policies and procedures, or similar global organization.
Communication and influencing skills including strong written and oral communication skills demonstrated by a history of writing reports and making oral presentations to senior staff
The ability to be a constructive team member in a demanding cross border and complex regulatory environment
Knowledge and experience of regulatory rules and approaches across Hong Kong, Asia or from other regions
Experience dealing directly with external parties or regulators on complex issues
Experience of managing complex regional or global projects
Experience in building and maintaining relationships with senior staff within an organization
