Here's where you come in To support the growth of AustralianSuper (the Fund) we are seeking a Principal, Business Implementation Services to join our Operations team on permanent full-time basis. The role of Principle, Business Implementation Services is designed to oversee the design and implementation of the strategic change agenda across the corporate and investment operations of the Fund by deploying new and improved capability to support global operations. You will be responsible for directing & overseeing the portfolio of transformational projects and medium sized initiatives from ideation through to deployment of new processes; systems and capability into the Fund's operations. In this role, you will:
Develop the strategy for the delivery of architectures; platforms, processes and technologies required to underpin the operating model that will support the continued growth of the Fund's operations globally
Co-ordinate the provision of advice and support to determine the appropriate Business & Process Architectures, Operating Model solutions and system solutions to successfully manage the operations of the Fund
Ensure new business solutions & operating platforms are defined; developed and maintained in accordance with the Fund's strategy and operating model principles and that there is consistency in their application throughout Investment & Corporate operations
Oversee the provision of project support functions to deliver approved projects and initiatives within Finance; Operations & Investments
Counsel senior business stakeholders (Senior Managers, Department Heads, and Group Executives) in the development of program and project business cases to deliver against the strategic change agenda of the Fund
Oversee the Portfolio of high impact, high complexity, high risk and/or high value programs and projects within the Investments, Finance & Operations. This includes managing multiple interdependencies, vendors, internal customers and direct and indirect staff
Manage and oversee the project portfolio budget. This includes submission of annual portfolio budget, tracking and managing variances and coordinating with other key stakeholders in the F&O Group as part of broader project & BAU budget targets
Prepare and provide updates to governance (e.g. Steering Committees) and executive forums (e.g. Board sub-Committees) Portfolio Governance Panel; on the progress of programs and projects within the portfolio and their contribution to the change agenda of the Fund
Provide advice and guidance for the protection of the Fund's data and the security of its' technologies
Take ownership of Project audit findings and action plans to address key risks/audit findings
Demonstrated experience within financial services implementing and managing key programs and projects at a senior level
Solid understanding of financial markets and fund/asset management
Experience leading a medium to large size team of both direct and indirect reports within a project environment
Proven success of managing multiple and complex programs / projects to set deliverables and objectives
Experience in corporate and project procurement processes including tendering
Experience managing high value budgets
Demonstrated inclusive, collaborative and engaging approach; including the ability to consult, facilitate, negotiate and influence with a broad range of people at all levels
Proven ability to synthesize detailed information and confidently present to Executive Stakeholders
Ability to remediate and recover "off-track" projects to meet the desired business objectives
Senior stakeholder management skills with the ability to build strong and sustainable working relationships
A motivated self-starter with the confidence and ability to run a department autonomously
Ability to work in a changing environment
