Enterprise Services (ES) is responsible for the world leading application of technology and operations across every aspect of CommBank, from innovative product platforms for our customers to essential tools within our business.
The Chief Controls Office within Enterprise Services is a first line of accountability function who are a group of trusted and skilled risk management experts empowering our business.
In this role, your team specifically provide Line 1 technology risk and other non-financial risk management and support for the ES Performance division.
Do work that matters:
As the Executive Manager, you will report to the General Manager, Performance Capability and Governance. The purpose of this role is to lead a team of risk professionals to manage technology and other non-financial risks providing associated insights, judgements and emerging risks for your division. In addition, you will provide proficient, executive level reporting to the ES Leadership team, Executive Committee and the Board. This will assist in gauging the performance and effectiveness of divisional actions in meeting the ES risk management strategy of being safe sound and secure.
Your role will also be key in driving and assisting management with sound and rational risk advice and decision making. Effective management of risk is a key enabler and foundational component for the Group. Our risk engagement role via our Operational Risk Management Framework (ORMF), ensures the Group can maintain its technology-leading position across the industry.
On any given day you will:
Review and provide expert guidance and advice to ensure effective identification of risk & controls design for all new and changing processes. Consider residual risk environment and provide residual risk challenge where required
Identify and initiate actions to mitigate risks and to strengthen controls, including issues identified through audits and other external processes
Engage with business leaders and Line 2 to determine optimal course of action to remediate any significant data integrity issues within the BU
Lead, motivate and inspire a team of control enablement professionals and support their capability development
